Some years ago, in Luck, Wisconsin, Dutch Elm disease was killing many trees.
A man known to all alumni of Luck schools, J. Alfred Olson, who eventually was both teacher and administrator, convinced the village to plant maple trees the entire length of Park Avenue. He probably knew that these trees would be lovely in the fall, but I doubt he knew just how truly beautiful they would grow to be.
Each fall I try to get to Luck during the peak leaves and take a photos.
Yesterday I drove over to watch Emily play volleyball, it was misting and cloudy,
but here are my photos of 2015 Fall in Wisconsin, Luck style.
Thanks to J. Alfred Olson, Park Avenue is all aglow.
