Before the Best Friends Forever acronym became a thing, I was high school pals with Mary. We have had much fun over the years, but my move back to Wisconsin has given us the chance to see each other more frequently.
We hatched a plan for her to make a trip to Rice Lake from her home in Mason for a day this week. We ended up driving to Eau Claire to see The Intern movie, shopped a bit, had pedicures back in RL and finished the the evening with a delicious meal with several cocktails at Lehman's Supper Club. Our waiter was the son of a Luck girl that had lived closer to Mary in our school years which made for fun reminiscing.
We can't wait to have another girls day. Of course we'll have 3 days of quilt retreat in November, but that's different as in no alcohol and the food is just ok, but it's always a hoot with much good sewing.
In the meantime, our toes are looking good! ♡
