Old photos

Dad had some old black and white negatives and I brought them to Rice Lake to get them printed.  I'm a good procrastinator, but finally, I got it done.
It's quite a treat to see Dad as a young man.
He and his first cousin, Aage Petersen, went to Ledgerwood, ND to work on a threshing crew.
They were in their late teens.
I guess Dad had a camera since he had these negatives.

The farm across a wheat field.

Threshing equipment, looks like something is getting repaired.

Dad on machine, he's dressed nicely, must be just posing.
Dad remembers that he and Aage stopped in Tyler, MN on their way to Ledgerwood so visit with Dad's Grandmother Ane Kirstine Jensen Johansen.
He said that she was very interested in what the boys were doing and maybe it was her way of tell them to behave themselves.

Dad is standing down a step and he still is much taller than this little woman.

The town of Ledgerwood?.
Dad remembers these days well and it's fun to hear him talk about the hard work and the fun they had.
