This weekend if the annual fishing opener. Glenn and families will be gathering at his place on Big Moon Lake. I stopped by there on my way home from Iowa to check out the situation.
There is some open water, but still lots of ice too.
Spring is slow to warm up this year.
Although the trees are starting to show signs of budding,
most of the lakes in this area still are holding on to their ice.
There might not be much fishing at the fishing opener, but no matter, the kids will have fun anyway.
