This week marks the return of Baltimore Orioles, Rose Breasted Grosbeaks, Bluejays, and a few other songbirds. The yard is busy with the Downy Woodpeckers & Hairy Woodpeckers too.
Although I have to take all the feeders in at night because of the bear visitor,
it's worth it.
Sadly, there was a casualty this morning.
A sweet little Ovenbird hit the picture window this morning and I found him dead when I got up.
I don't see Ovenbirds here, so I'm thinking this was a migrating bird who won't make it home.
Along with the birds, the first perennials are starting to show their colors too.
Spring is good.
Live is good.
