Then I saw a swarm of winged creatures just above the old Christmas tree that is propped up under the bird feeders. I wonder if some eggs were laid in that tree and today the sun is quite warm, so poof, hatch? I took a couple of photos, not great pics, but you get the idea.
I probably will never know what they are, and just guessing, they won't last overnight.
They look like little fairies.
Yesterday this male pileated woodpecker flew in and ate a pile of suet.
He is quite gluttonous but such a fascinating bird.
I'm lucky to see so many amazing birds so often.
