Migration is in full swing

It's really fun to see all the birds coming and going, many of whom I haven't seen for months and one I have never seen.
Yesterday it was the robins, and today it is the Purple Finch who are in abundance.
The chickadees have been here off and on all winter

Today was the first time I have ever seen a Fox Sparrow.
They scratch around on the ground, sadly this one is scratching where the rabbits have been pooping.

The female Purple Finch has pretty marks

But the mating colors of the male Purple Finch are striking, even his back feathers are pretty under those wings.

This guy had his cone head up while he was snacking away.
They say another storm is headed our way, so I wonder which birds will show up here next.
Snow on Thursday they say.
