LCO is a very small Ojibwe school, enrollment of 49, they play as Independent,
so not in any conference, who knows how many games they even get to play.
Watching their coach, who was so encouraging, and those kids playing to the best of their abilities,
I have nothing but respect for LCO.
And our kids did not play to run up the score, subs got play time and our starters got lots of bench time.
Luck fans cheered for both teams.
It was a good reminder about good sportsmanship and educational athletics.
The score looks terrible, I know. But it did not feel like we were pulverizing them, limited 3 pointers once a big lead was established, slower play than normal to burn the clock and slightly less aggressive defense. LCO had a few 3 pointers and the fans all cheered.
The running clock rule does not kick in until 9 minutes remaining in the game,
so that's part of the reason for the score.
I love tournament time.
You never know what you are going to see.
Here's Jude with his net-head.
George is in the wig, next to him is Jude and behind Jude is brother jens.
Game 2 is Friday night against Washburn,
that will be a much different game.
