Family on the Fourth

Glenn and Kathy hosted a weekend of fun and family on Big Moon Lake near Turtle Lake, WI.

Uncle Chris and his son, Gary, were there from Iowa on Sunday, and Dad & Ev came over from the cabin.

Dad (88 yrs) and Uncle Chris (90 yrs)

I supplied some silly sunglasses, but the kids liked them.
Jackson looks quite festive!

Breanna and Alyxis spent the day in their swimsuits...what a life!

I love this silly look on Jake's face.  He's getting to be such a big boy and quite a character.

Milli had a special eye patch for the day.  She alternates between patch and glasses to treat the muscle in her eye.  She's only recently let her Mom fancy up her patch.

Jackson loves his 'guys'.  He had some new Lego 'guys' that he got for his birthday, so he showed them to me and we played 'guys' for a little while.

I told Payton she might see this one on Facebook.  When I said that these glasses were kind of 'Jackie O', the  kids had no idea what I was talking about.  I realized later I should have said that these glasses are kind of 'Lady Gaga'!

Jordyn played in the shallow water with the little kids for a long time.

Both Jordyn and Payton are so good with their young cousins, makes for a good time for all.

Payton is really good with the little kids and they love her so much.

In the afternoon there was a pontoon/boat parade around the lake and a prize for the best decorations.
Kathy and Erin worked hard on the decorating and a few others got in the act.
And the winner is....

Big Money Winners!!

The day ended with lots of fireworks around the lake and finally from a raft out in the lake.
We missed having Michelle at the lake with us, she was working at the hospital.

I am grateful for all those medical and emergency folks who give up their holidays to care for others.
