One thing I like about the covid-19 pressure on steering away from large group fundraising is the creative use of Zoom to get that work done, and my ability to be involved from my recliner.
Tonight I participated in a grass-roots fund raising effort for Kamala Harris and Joe Biden hosted by Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Hillary Clinton, and Kamala Harris. It was a fun hour of anecdotal stories and statements of the case for change. Over 100,000 people were watching as Amy Poehler struggled to unmute her audio, as Maya Rudolph jumped right In and kept the ball rolling and both Hillary & Kamala shared some of their personal life;
it all just added to the live performance.
