It's alive

In August of 2016, I got a free seedling at the Winter Greenhouse. It was planted in a small dixie cup.  I planted it next to the dead trunk of a 12 foot pine I had planted in about 2013.  I was using the dead trunk of the tree as a trellis for hops, and did not expect the seedling to survive.
The other day, that dead trunk finally fell over.  I went out to clean that up, and much to my surprise & delight, the seedling lives.  It even has a decent 'leader'.
Finally, one good thing about 2020.
I'm hoping that tomorrow,  Election Day, is another good thing.

Peace ☮
