 Well,  I ran completely out of gas.  I haven't packed anything for 2 days. 

I will have to pour it on over the weekend, but my knee was killing me and I just couldn't get going today.  So,  it is what it is. 

I'm loving watching the Sewing Bee on Roku channel.

I went over to the apartment to meet with the handyman and Wednesday morning and he was very helpful. And I figured out that I'm not going to bring Barley's cat condo with me.  I was kind of struggling with where I was going to store it.  We didn't use the cat condo all summer. So, it isn't like she'll miss it. And it's one less thing for me to worry about.  Lois's cat,  Mocha, is indoor and outdoor.  Barley's safety and her wellbeing is my #1 concern. So,  staying inside will be best for all.

Under the heading...People are funny, or they think they are funny...today I called the moving company to confirm that everything was set for Wednesday. I had texted them earlier this morning and he suggested I give them a call to confirm a few details. So when I called, I told him that I was calling to confirm details.And he paused and said, "well, actually, we're not a moving company anymore."  Of course, I was shocked and said, "What?!?" and then he started laughing. And said, "oh, i'm just pulling your leg."  I'm not sure I thought that was very funny. In fact, I told him I might have to kill him for doing that to me. But in the end, we confirmed all the details for Wednesday. They'll be here between nine thirty and ten. Soon this nightmare will be, if not over, on to the next phase.

Then, one of my cousins' wives saw my posting on Facebook about my Wednesday move and wanted to know if I could sub for her in the Bunko group on the following Monday. That made me laugh out loud.  She is not thinking about what a chaotic event this will be and has been for me.

It was kind of good in a way, though, because it made me think about how I'm going to have to be careful not to get involved too quickly with stuff that never ends. I will have to manage the expectations of my friends and relies. I told my cousin's wife to give me a few months to get my bearings before I get involved with any of that kind of stuff. I will have a house to sell, for a few months, which will mean trips back and forth to Rice Lake several times a week to check on things. So It isn't like I'll have time in my hands for a while.

I'll watch some of the kids play football on the streaming tonight. And give my knee some more downtime.
