Girls basketball

I was at an all day Saturday basketball tournament in Barron a week ago.

It was fun watching the younger girls play and then to watch the girls 2 years older play.  The change in technique and skill is remarkable.

First up was Milli, #12, and her 6th grade team.

The girls played hard.  Ball handling skills are coming along.  There is a lot of dribbling.

Their game went into overtime and was still tied, so then it went to double overtime & sudden death.

Our girls lost by 2, but it was very exciting.

Next I watched Charli, #14, play 2 games with her 8th grade teammates.

Charli's team has improved since last year, and some of the girls have gained an inch or two of height as well.  Both games were close, the last one going into overtime with our girls losing by 2.

I missed the tournament this past weekend due to slippery roads, I'm hopeful to see these girls play again this year.  Girls basketball is so much fun!
