 The Wisconsin Democrats hosted a fund-raising event on Sunday that was a live zoom with members of the cast of both VEEP & The West Wing. Both of these series were/are favorites of mine.  I've watched The West Wing at last 4 times. VEEP has been harder to find for free, so I have only seen a smattering of episodes, but the disrespectful behavior of the main character played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus is not far from some of the irreverent actions & speeches by current elected representatives as seen on our newscasts in 2022.

 For a donation of $27, I was entertained for two hours as these actors & actresses answered questions, teased each other and reenacted a couple of scenes from their respective shows. Martin Sheen gave a couple of very eloquent speeches reminiscent of Jed Bartlet but very on point for today.

The event had thousands of viewers across the nation and raised nearly $700,000 for the WisDems. Several down-ballot Wisconsin candidates were featured as well.

Many of the Wisconsin midterm election races are too close to call and this money will be well spent to help maintain our Democracy.  

It's likely going to come down to getting folks to the polls.

Whether Dem or Rep, please vote.
