Great niece Charli is going into 7th grade in the fall. She's playing softball and I finally got to see a game on Thursday night in Spring Valley.
She's tall and athletic and it looks like she loves the game.

It has to be said how much Charli looks like her Mom, Kaija. Sometimes it is uncanny. |

First up-to-bat and Charli gets hit by the pitch. She stayed in the box for a split second, not really wanting to take the walk. |

Charli scored after reaching base on that walk. |

Watching Charli pitch was fun. I remember Laila on the mound when she played fastpitch. |

It was so hot and humid on Thursday night. These girls got a work out. |

A decent hit on her next at-bat. |

Little sisters Wynni and Milli staying cool by hanging in the grass. |

Grandpa Glenn had a seat in the skybox, up the hill from the rif-raf. |

Wait, what? |

Dad and Mom, Mike & Kaija...it's intense |

I'm not really sure what the final score was, or who won the game, but it was fun to watch. |
I love baseball and softball, shooting through a fence is a pain.
Sometimes I think I should bring a wire cutter and make a lens opening.
