It has been a very pretty Autumn. I am surprised about how much color there was since it has been so dry for most of the summer, but then I never really know what affects the colors of the leaves from year to year. Last week, we had some rain for a whole day, and then some wind, so the bulk of the leaves are now off the trees and the ones that are hanging on, are starting to turn brown. I wish the box-elder bugs & lady bug beetles would go away. My duplex faces West, and those bugs cover the front of my house when it is sunny. Nasty little bugs too, but all part of Fall.
Yesterday late afternoon, my niece Angie stopped by to take her mom Lois, and I, on a ride in her side by side / allterrain vehicle. We cruised out The Chippewa Trail which has been designated as A Rustic Road. Many of the huge trees were bare of leaves but I did see a couple of deer and I enjoyed the outing.
It was loud, so I didn't get all the conversation, but it was a new experience for me.
