Mr. Oriole shows up

After the big storm Monday morning, there were a lot of birds around, several male grosbeaks at the feeders and then this beauty made his appearance.

Oriole Delight

Today an Oriole was at the hummingbird feeder.  I've been putting grape jelly out everyday, I guess he likes the hummingbird juice just fine.
He paused on top of a bird house.

Then he perched on the feeder.

He tried the tasty juice

Maybe he had something to say.

He gave me 'the look'

More talking

What a beauty.

More of The Birds

The yard has really be active with birds this morning. I suppose it is the dating / mating season as well as a nice sunny day. (I took these photos with my Pentax, 35mm, SLR Digital Camera.)

Today we had quite the treat when Ev noticed an Oriole trying to get a drink from the Hummingbird feeder. I quickly cut an orange and put it out on the deck posts, with great results.

The male cardinal has been flitting around here today too.
